I wish At The Drive In were still a band, because I never got to see them live...
anyway for some reason they remind me of my friend Garo's band "Dooms De Pop". they sound nothing alike really, maybe it's the afro's? Or the stage presence?
Which reminds me that, I took some photos of Dooms De Pop a few weeks ago. They really liked what I got and asked me to shoot some photos of the band for a record that they are pressing soon. I'm really excited to do it and Garo (the singer/ lead guitar) has some secret location that he wants to shoot at. I will definitely post photos as soon as I am able to. Garo also just got a 3,000 sq ft warehouse that he is going to do art shows, bands etc. at in the near future so stay tuned for progress on that, it should be a blast to have a new venue in town!
